Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>A Free State teenager has been arrested after his 60-year-old aunt was found dead at her home.<\/p>\n

Police have not yet ruled out the possibility that she was raped as well.<\/p>\n

The gruesome discovery was made by the 18-year-old’s 6-year-old brother.<\/p>\n

Free State police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said the boy had just returned from school on Tuesday at around 14:00 when he discovered the body in a pool of blood.<\/p>\n

He said it looked like the woman had been hit on the forehead with a blunt object.<\/p>\n

“His mother and police arrived and found that the 60-year-old woman, who is the sister-in-law to the son’s mother, was allegedly murdered, and not excluding the possibility of having been raped.”<\/p>\n

Police believe that the child\u2019s 18-year-old brother could be the killer and have arrested him.<\/p>\n

Mophiring said preliminary investigations had established that the teenager, who lived in the same house, could be involved after police found evidence that led to his arrest.<\/p>\n

He said the teen was expected to appear in Makwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n
