Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The Hawks’ serious organised crime investigation team – probing cases from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) – is looking for families and relatives of apartheid crime victims.<\/p>\n

Some of the victims reportedly committed suicide while in detention, and police allegedly shot others during attempts to escape arrest.<\/p>\n

The victims died between 1963 and 1988. The bodies of some victims were never recovered after their deaths.<\/p>\n

Here’s what we know about them, where they were last seen, and the cause of their deaths.<\/p>\n

Tyantoni Bellington Mampe was a POQO Activist. He died in a prison hospital in September 1963 after being detained for 140 days at the Worcester prison. He died aged 30. He lived in Gugulethu. He was detained with Mr Bless Vuyisile.<\/p>\n
