Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for the killers of the headman of Gumbu village, who was gunned down in front of his house over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Takalani Andries Gumbu, 40, was shot as he got out of his car after reportedly arriving home on Sunday at about 22:00.<\/p>\n

The perpetrators fled the scene on foot, said police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.<\/p>\n

“The police were called, and on arrival, the victim was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds. He was certified dead on the scene,” said Mojapelo.<\/p>\n

“The suspects must be hunted down and brought to book. We call on community members with information to come forward,” said Limpopo police commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.<\/p>\n

The motive for the murder is unknown and police investigations are continuing, according to Mojapelo.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information has been urged to contact investigating officer Sergeant Theophilus Musumuvhi at 064 647 4058.<\/p>\n
