Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Murder accused ANC Member of Parliament Sibusiso Kula will next week be handed a list of witnesses in the State’s case against him after the matter was postponed for further investigation in the Orkney Magistrate’s Court.<\/p>\n

Kula appeared in the dock on Friday, where the case was postponed to 6 September.<\/p>\n

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Henry Mamothame said the State informed the court that it had compiled the list which would be sent to the ANC MP on Monday.<\/p>\n

The North West High Court released Kula on R50 000 bail after he appealed against the magistrate’s court’s denial of his application.<\/p>\n

The bail conditions include that he may not contact his children directly or indirectly and must report to the nearest police station twice daily. Kula also surrendered his passports to the authorities.<\/p>\n

Kula was arrested on 20 January for the murder of his wife, Jennifer Mohlomi, who was found stabbed at the couple’s home in Kanana.<\/p>\n

Mamothame said Kula’s bid to strike his case off the roll was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

“Meanwhile, an application submitted to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in North West, Dr Rachel Makhari, for the matter to be transferred to a higher court owing to its serious nature, is awaiting the finalisation of investigations,” said Mamothame.<\/p>\n

Kula has previously denied accusations he murdered his wife, the mother of their three children.<\/p>\n

He said she was “the chosen one”, and although they had fights and arguments in their relationship, they resolved them with the intervention of family members and religious leaders.<\/p>\n
