Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>A Randburg magistrate warned three Diepsloot community leaders against participating in protests in the area when she released them on R500 bail on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Lefa Nkala, Loyiso Toyiya and Jack Hlongwane were arrested on public violence charges on 29 June in connection with protests in Diepsloot about escalating crime in the area.<\/p>\n

They appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court where the investigating officer, Sergeant Khanyisani Mathabela, did not oppose their release on bail.<\/p>\n

Mathabela said they were waiting the outcome of a Johannesburg Roads Agency investigation into the damage caused to roads during the protest.<\/p>\n

Magistrate Nosiphiwo Gcau postponed the case to 16 August.<\/p>\n
