Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa was found alone and unconscious on the kitchen floor of the Vosloorus home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother after he was shot, a witness told the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The witness, the Khumalos’ neighbour Khaya Ngcatshe, was the second witness to testify in the rebooted trial of five men charged with Meyiwa’s October 2014 murder.<\/p>\n

Bongani Ntanzi, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Mthobisi Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Fisokuhle Ntuli face charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.<\/p>\n

In court on Wednesday, Ngcatshe was responding to a question from Ntuli’s advocate, Zandile Mshololo.<\/p>\n

Mshololo asked Ngcatshe if the neighbours found anyone in the house helping Meyiwa.<\/p>\n

He responded that Meyiwa was found lying on the floor, alone and unattended to.<\/p>\n

He also didn’t see Kelly Khumalo, the court heard.<\/p>\n

The only person he saw in the house was Khumalo’s mother, Gladness.<\/p>\n

Khumalo’s sister, Zandile, who already testified, told the court that she went to seek help from a neighbour, MaPhiri.<\/p>\n

The advocate representing Ntanzi and Sibiya, Sipho Ramosepele, questioned Ngcatshe about his height because Zandile testified that a precast wall prevented neighbours from seeing into their house.<\/p>\n

Ngcatshe said he was between 1.8 and 9 metres tall.<\/p>\n

“I disagree. From where I would be standing, as much as the precast wall would be higher, I could still see the kitchen window of the Khumalos,” he added.<\/p>\n

During cross-examination, Ngcatshe was also asked if he knew whether somebody had called an ambulance after Meyiwa was shot.<\/p>\n

The trial continues.<\/p>\n

Another neighbour, Nthabiseng Mokete, is expected to testify.<\/p>\n
