Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>KwaZulu-Natal police have arrested a security guard for the alleged murder of two of his female colleagues whose bodies were found in a shallow grave outside the Thembeni cre\u0300che in Umgababa on Friday.<\/p>\n

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said the women’s bodies were found with their hands tied and plastic bags over their heads.<\/p>\n

Zanele Doris Mbuso, 61, and Moni Sophia Xulu, 81, were reported missing on Women’s Day.<\/p>\n

Police said information indicated that the two women were last seen in an e-hailing vehicle from their workplace at Thembeni cre\u0300che.<\/p>\n

“Thorough investigations by the Umkomaas Detectives, Durban Search and Rescue and eThekwini District Task Team pointed the police to a shallow grave just outside the fence of the cre\u0300che,” said Netshiunda.<\/p>\n

He added that both women had been buried with plastic bags over their heads and their hands tied with a rope.<\/p>\n

“The victims’ colleague, who worked as a security guard at the cre\u0300che, was arrested for the murders, and he will appear in court soon.”<\/p>\n

Renegades Search and Rescue spokesperson Dawn Gounden said ongoing investigations by their team and the police had led them to believe that the security guard was involved with the murders.<\/p>\n

Gounden added that police then followed up on the phone ping, and found the grave outside the creche.<\/p>\n
