Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>One of the accused implicated in the disappearance of German tourist Nick Frischke was granted R500 bail in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Friday.<\/p>\n

Igshaan Fisher, Jason Abrahams, Vanroy Petersen, Carlo Guenantin and Melvin Guenantin were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm in February. They were found with Frischke’s backpack and wallet shortly after he disappeared.<\/p>\n

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila said the state requested bail be set at R1 000, but the court set it at R500.<\/p>\n

“His [Abrahams’] case and that of his co-accused was transferred to the Wynberg Regional Court for a first appearance on 10 October,” said Ntabzalila.<\/p>\n

Frischke, from Brandenberg near Cottbus in Germany, was robbed on 15 February after he left his Airbnb accommodation in Pinelands, Cape Town.<\/p>\n

He has been missing since.<\/p>\n

Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said the investigation was ongoing.<\/p>\n

Van Wyk said:<\/p>\n

The SA Police Service does extensive searches when “credible new information is received”, he added.<\/p>\n
