Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Heatwave conditions are expected in several provinces on Wednesday, according to the South African Weather Service.<\/p>\n

Fire danger warnings:<\/p>\n

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Northern Cape, western and northern parts of the North West, western Bushveld of Limpopo and Amajuba Local Municipality of KwaZulu-Natal as well as the Joe Gqabi District Municipality and Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality of Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n

Advisories:<\/p>\n

Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures are expected over the eastern parts of both the North West and Free State, southern parts of Gauteng as well as the OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo district municipalities of the Eastern Cape from 4 to 6 October.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, prolonged exposure to the midday sun poses health risks, hence it is advisable to seek shade and keep hydrated.<\/p>\n

Gauteng will be fine and hot but warm over the central parts.<\/p>\n

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.<\/p>\n

Mpumalanga is expected to be fine and warm to hot but extremely hot on the Lowveld.<\/p>\n

Limpopo will be fine and warm to hot.<\/p>\n

The North West will be fine and warm to hot.<\/p>\n

The Free State is expected to be fine and warm to hot, but partly cloudy over the western parts.<\/p>\n

The Northern Cape will be fine, windy, and hot to extremely hot, becoming partly cloudy, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers over the south-eastern parts but warm along the coast and its interior.<\/p>\n

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.<\/p>\n

Morning fog patches are expected along the west coast of the Western Cape.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, partly cloudy.<\/p>\n

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.<\/p>\n

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.<\/p>\n

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy with fog patches over interior at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot.<\/p>\n

It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior.<\/p>\n

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming north-easterly by evening.<\/p>\n

The eastern half of the province is expected to be cloudy with fog patches in places south of escapement at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot.<\/p>\n

It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior, spreading towards East London in the evening.<\/p>\n

The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly.<\/p>\n

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places over the interior.<\/p>\n

The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-westerly north of Richard’s Bay in the morning, otherwise south-westerly.<\/p>\n

It will become moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
