Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Fikile Mbalula said that former party president Jacob Zuma was collaborating with the organisation\u2019s enemies while claiming to rescue the party.<\/p>\n

Mbalula told journalists at a state of readiness briefing ahead of the ANC\u2019s manifesto launch this weekend that if the ANC fails, Zuma must be held to account.<\/p>\n

The governing party\u2019s secretary-general also preached tolerance, cautioning against violence between the ANC and the uMkhonto weSizwe party supporters.<\/p>\n

Zuma is the face of the MK Party as he lobbies against the very same ANC he once led for two terms.<\/p>\n

Mbalula was speaking during a state of readiness briefing ahead of the ANC\u2019s manifesto launch this weekend in Durban.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow he has strengthened the hand of our opponents, he has, and he doesn\u2019t think like that, he doesn\u2019t see it. When you say I want to rescue the ANC but I will do it with your opponents, including your enemies, to rescue it from what I believe has gone wrong in the ANC – it doesn\u2019t work like that,” said Mbalula.<\/p>\n
