Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Judge Sulet Potterill in the Pretoria High Court struck her interdict application off the roll with costs on Tuesday, saying she failed to prove urgency.<\/p>\n

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has refused to disclose the details of when Speaker of Parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula will hand herself in for arrest.<\/p>\n

Judge Sulet Potterill in the Pretoria High Court struck her interdict application off the roll with costs on Tuesday, saying she failed to prove urgency.<\/p>\n

“There is not a single fact set out as to why the future arrest will be unlawful seemingly because there is a weak case set out and this is pure speculation. I can make no finding on such speculation that there will be an unlawful arrest.”<\/p>\n

Mapisa-Nqakula is facing corruption-linked charges for allegedly receiving millions in bribes during her time as the minister of defence.<\/p>\n

This means she will now have to hand herself in at the Littleton Police Station and appear in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.<\/p>\n

But the NPA\u2019s Mthunzi Mhaga remains mum on the details.<\/p>\n

“We don\u2019t discuss issues of arrests, evidential issues, list of witnesses or investigative processes in the media but obviously, the wheels of justice will be in motion.”<\/p>\n
