Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Vivo has unveiled its V30 5G and V30e smartphones in South Africa.<\/p>\n

During the launch event at the Jody Scheckter Viewing Deck in Kyalami, Vivo said these smartphones focus on delivering excellent photography features.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ambition of our V30 5G series is to bring our consumers studio-level portrait quality,\u201d said Vivo SA GTM Manager Jay Yang.<\/p>\n

The V30 range will also be the first Vivo smartphones to be launched on all four of South Africa\u2019s major operators \u2013 MTN, Vodacom, Telkom, and Cell C.<\/p>\n

The V30 5G\u2019s headline feature is its Aura Light Portrait \u2013 a rectangular panel on the smartphone\u2019s rear that delivers better lighting for your photos.<\/p>\n

According to Vivo, this module delivers 19 times the light emitting area and 50 times the light softness when compared to conventional smartphone flash sensors.<\/p>\n

It also boasts targeted technologies like Distance Lighting\u2014which optimises lighting based on the subject\u2019s distance away from the camera\u2014and Smart Colour Temperature Adjustment.<\/p>\n

This lighting module and its technologies are designed specifically to work well with the V30 5G\u2019s camera system, which includes a 50MP Ultra Wide-Angle Camera, a 50MP VCS True Colour camera, and a supplementary 2MP sensor.<\/p>\n

The V30 5G\u2019s display then comprises a curved 6.78-inch 2,800 x 1,260 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,800 nits of local peak brightness.<\/p>\n

This curved display minimises the smartphones bezels, which are exclusively found on the top and the bottom of the device.<\/p>\n

For performance, the Vivo V30 5G boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, 512GB storage, and 12GB RAM.<\/p>\n

Additional support for 12GB of virtual memory enables up to 48 apps to run simultaneously in the background.<\/p>\n

Rounding out this package is a 5,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging power, which allowis it to charge from 0-100% in only 48 minutes.<\/p>\n

Vivo V30e<\/p>\n

The V30e shares most of the V30\u2019s features but differs in a few areas.<\/p>\n

Firstly, and most notably, it doesn\u2019t have the innovative Aura Light Portrait module.<\/p>\n

This means it will offer reduced photography capabilities \u2013 but it still delivers an impressive dual-sensor rear camera system and a great 32MP selfie camera.<\/p>\n

Vivo has also replaced the V30 5G\u2019s display with a 6.6-inch 2,340 x 1,080 AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate, and it has less storage space \u2013 256GB compared to the V30 5G\u2019s 512GB.<\/p>\n

However, it retains the 12GB RAM and 12GB extendable memory of its big brother.<\/p>\n

This smartphone also offers increased battery capacity at 5,500mAh \u2013 which will be preferable to many users.<\/p>\n
