Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) said that it plans to stabilise the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) economy if it gets elected as a new government in the upcoming polls.<\/p>\n

The official opposition in the province said that boosting the economy will see more people with jobs.<\/p>\n

The party held an election rally on the KZN South Coast on Saturday to gain more voter support ahead of the elections.<\/p>\n

For the IFP, a province like KZN with major ports of entry and tourist destinations, should have a booming economy.<\/p>\n

The party blames the governing African National Congress (ANC) for the province’s ailing economy.<\/p>\n

IFP Premier candidate Thami Ntuli said that the party is ready to turn things around.<\/p>\n

“When we are afforded an opportunity we will resuscitate economic activities. We will make the environment for businesses to flourish.”<\/p>\n

The provincial economy was hit by the July 2021 unrest and floods in 2022 floods, as well as maladministration in some instances.<\/p>\n
