Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>This was revealed by the National Joint Operational Structure earlier on Sunday at a media briefing on law enforcement\u2019s state of readiness ahead of elections.<\/p>\n

As the country edges closer to the May 29 polls, more than 650 voting stations countrywide have been identified as hotspots.<\/p>\n

This is out of a total of about 23,000 voting stations.<\/p>\n

This figure was revealed by the National Joint Operational Structure earlier on Sunday at a media briefing on law enforcement\u2019s state of readiness ahead of elections.<\/p>\n

Natjoints co-chair Tebello Mosikili says focus will be given to provinces with a history of disruptions during elections.<\/p>\n

However, Mosikili would not be drawn to comment on which provinces this includes.<\/p>\n

“When we developed the plan, we looked at the previous, the current intelligence, the climate, the maturity of our electorates, and we plan accordingly. So, I don’t want to downplay any of our 9 provinces to say this one is better than the other, but we do have different levels of our focus in those.”<\/p>\n
