The African National Congress (ANC) in Western Cape tried to “debunk” what it called “myths” that the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the province is delivering.<\/p>\n

ANC caucus leader, Cameron Dugmore, briefed the media on Friday on what he described as a “misrepresentation” of achievements, as well as economic disparities.<\/p>\n

The ANC has listed several issues and shortcomings in the province that it said were because of the DA. Dugmore said these included employment disparities.<\/p>\n

He said that under the DA, unemployment in the province worsened, contrary to claims by the official opposition that job numbers were up.<\/p>\n

“We are here basically to debunk the myth that the DA governs this province better than anyone else and works for all.<\/p>\n

“It is clear, beyond doubt, to any objective observer that life for the majority of people in our province has worsened under the DA.\u201d Dugmore also said the DA failed to deliver housing, building only 42,000 in five years compared to the ANC\u2019s 164,000 when it governed the province.<\/p>\n
