Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The humanitarian group has previously said the ANC should not get into a coalition with the Democratic Alliance (DA), saying the DA does not support the plight of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

Gift of the Givers (GOTG) has called on the African National Congress (ANC) to rethink who it partners with in the government of national unity (GNU).<\/p>\n

The humanitarian group has previously said the ANC should not get into a coalition with the Democratic Alliance (DA), saying the DA does not support the plight of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

However, the ANC and the DA have entered into a co-governing agreement, along with four other political parties.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the sidelines of the presidential inauguration in Pretoria, Gift of the Givers founder, Imtiaz Sooliman, said the ANC should not give up on its values.<\/p>\n

“First of all, the ANC has 40%, so they are the majority, they need to exert themselves, otherwise you going as a majority and acting like a minority makes no sense to me. This is not a government of national unity, it\u2019s a government of selective unity. Why have you left out your friends and comrades that have been in the trenches with you? Is somebody else making the decision for you?”<\/p>\n
