Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy leader Floyd Shivambu has hit back at Julius Malema\u2019s comments labelling him a betrayer and a sell-out to the red berets.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Malema expressed his views on Shivambu\u2019s departure from the EFF questioning his sudden decision to jump ship.<\/p>\n

Shivambu has, however, denied betraying anyone or anything \u2013 suggesting he\u2019s not in the business of pleasing the egos of politicians.<\/p>\n

He was speaking during a media briefing in Sandton on Thursday, where he was unveiled as the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party\u2019s national organiser.<\/p>\n

For the first time since his departure from the EFF, Floyd Shivambu was seen in MK Party regalia on Thursday, seemingly content with his new political home.<\/p>\n

He said he\u2019s unapologetic about his decision to align himself with a political organisation that\u2019s committed to reversing the effects of apartheid.<\/p>\n

“Some people said I betrayed them. Where does that enter? And don\u2019t even suggest that I betrayed the revolution. I will never betray your revolution.”<\/p>\n

As the national organiser of the MK Party, Shivambu\u2019s responsibilities include policy and research as well as the establishment of branches and the party\u2019s structures.<\/p>\n

He is also responsible for political education and monitoring the party\u2019s public representatives.<\/p>\n
