Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Expelled MK Party MPs claim the party\u2019s parliamentary leadership has instilled a culture of fear within its caucus and is acting without the knowledge of its president, Jacob Zuma.<\/p>\n

They say this cabal, which includes Zuma\u2019s own daughter, are blocking members from reaching the party president at his home in Nkandla.<\/p>\n

The group, who are part of 18 MK Party MPs who say their expulsions and resignations from the party are bogus, spoke out on Thursday after approaching the high court on Wednesday in efforts to get their jobs back.<\/p>\n

The disgruntled group believes that Zuma is unaware of their alleged expulsion from the party.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson for the group, Thamsanqa Khuzwayo, said the party\u2019s leadership in Parliament, including its Chief Whip Sihle Ngubane, Zuma\u2019s daughter Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla and party spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndlela, were acting undemocratically.<\/p>\n

“Even within the party, there are many people who are living in fear because they don\u2019t know when they are going to be removed. So these guys are good at cheating themselves.”<\/p>\n

Khuzwayo said the disgruntled group could not be labelled sell-outs for taking the party to court.<\/p>\n

“Maybe this is a process the MK Party needed, so the real criminals are revealed, the real sellouts who are trying to destroy this party are revealed, the real people who are doing everything so that they gain personally, will be revealed through this process.”<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve instructed their lawyer to write to Speaker Thoko Didiza, requesting to return to their jobs in Parliament.<\/p>\n

The matter is set to return to court on 3 September.<\/p>\n
