Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The African National Congress (ANC)’s regional executive committee in Ekurhuleni has raised concern about branches that had been inactive during the campaign season ahead of the May 2024 general election.<\/p>\n

The party’s deputy president, Paul Mashatile, met with the ANC leaders on Sunday as part of an initiative to connect with its provincial, regional, and branch structures.<\/p>\n

Mashatile said that after assessing their election performance, the party’s Ekurhuleni executive shared its planned efforts to promote the organisation’s key priorities in the metro.<\/p>\n

“There are a number of ANC branches that were not very active during the election campaign. So, one of the things that the region is doing now is to revive those branches to make sure that they become active once again and that they deal with the issues affecting people on the ground.”<\/p>\n
