Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The number of confirmed Mpox cases in the country has risen to 25.<\/p>\n

This follows confirmation of another case in the Western Cape at the weekend.<\/p>\n

<\/b>
\nThe Health Department said the patient had no recent international travel history or contact with a suspected or confirmed Mpox case.<\/p>\n

He is currently at home isolating and is in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

Since the outbreak began in May this year, three people have died from the disease.<\/p>\n

Health Spokesperson Foster Mohale said contact tracing efforts were underway.<\/p>\n

“We urge all the identified and suspected contacts to cooperate with health officials during contact tracing for screening and possible diagnosis to prevent further transmission of this preventable and treatable disease.”<\/p>\n
