Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Tshwane said it remains open to establishing an agreement with other political parties to return to the city\u2019s top office.<\/p>\n

Its regional leader, Cilliers Brink, was removed as mayor through an African National Congress (ANC)-sponsored motion of no confidence in September.<\/p>\n

The Tshwane council is scheduled to elect the capital city\u2019s seventh mayor since 2016 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a virtual engagement on Monday, Brink emphasised the need for an end to political instability.<\/p>\n

“We are still open to finding the best solution for Tshwane, the best solution. There are four million people and there\u2019s a lot of work to be done.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve lost two weeks, we\u2019ve signalled uncertainty to the public, we\u2019ve signalled instability. Let\u2019s fix that and let\u2019s make sure that this does not happen again until the people can vote in 2026.”<\/p>\n
