Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Western Cape police will include metro law enforcers in their festive season crime strategy.<\/p>\n

The provincial South African Police Service (SAPS) launched its safer festive season operation in Mitchells Plain on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Thousands of law enforcement officers from SAPS, provincial traffic, and metro police gathered at the Rocklands Sports Complex.<\/p>\n

According to the SAPS, high-density operations under Operation Shanela, roadblocks, stop and searches and the tracking and tracing of wanted suspects will dominate this period.<\/p>\n

Western Cape police added that an aggressive stance would be taken against serious and violent crimes so that the public can enjoy a peaceful holiday without fear of crime.<\/p>\n
