Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The South African Communist Party (SACP) in Limpopo has added to the growing criticism about the African National Congress (ANC)\u2019s decision to form a Government of National Unity (GNU) with some of its political foes.<\/p>\n

Some leaders from the tripartite alliance have locked horns on the matter recently, with the SACP saying the inclusion of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Freedom Front (FF) Plus was against the principles of the alliance.<\/p>\n

<\/b>
\nSpeaking at the memorial of former finance minister, Tito Mboweni, in Limpopo on Thursday night, SACP provincial chairperson Goodman Mitileni used the occasion to take another swipe at the ANC.<\/p>\n

“We had many partners to go to bed with and this one represents the direct opposite of the gains of our national democratic revolution.”<\/p>\n

At the same gathering, ANC national executive committee (NEC) member David Mahlobo defended the party\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n

“We rose to the occasion. We saved the country from the edge of disorder and chaos. It was a tactical choice we made. The ANC must be lauded.”<\/p>\n
