Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Former African National Congress (ANC) spokesperson Zizi Kodwa will have to wait until November for an outcome of an application for his fraud and corruption charges to be dropped.<\/p>\n

Kodwa and his co-accused, Jehan Mackay, appeared briefly in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Kodwa is accused of accepting bribes amounting to almost R1.7 million from Mackay in exchange for government contracts.<\/p>\n

The Director for Public Prosecutions (DPP) has requested more time to review his application to have his charges withdrawn.<\/p>\n

NPA spokesperson Phindo Mjonondwane: “So there\u2019s a whole of consultation work that must be done, including consultations with the investigating officer, as well as the complainants in the matter. So hence the unfortunate delays.”<\/p>\n
