Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Two men linked to the murder of controversial Cape Town businessman, Mark Lifman, appeared briefly at the George Magistrates Court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Johannes Hendrik Jacobs and Gert Johannes Bezuidenhout are facing charges of premeditated murder.<\/p>\n

They appeared under heavy police guard and their case has been postponed to next week Wednesday for further investigation.<\/p>\n

Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said that one of the accused was a former member of the police’s special task force.<\/p>\n

“But he’s been away from the police for some time and what we believe is that he’s worked for PPA Security in Cape Town, that’s what we know for now.”<\/p>\n

The accused’s request to be placed in solitary confinement was denied by the court.<\/p>\n

Patekile said they could not rule out more arrests as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
