Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) in the Western Cape says a bomb scare near the Bellville taxi rank disrupted operations on Monday.<\/p>\n

Police reportedly responded to bomb threats at the busy transport interchange and cordoned off the area.<\/p>\n

<\/b>
\nWhen Eyewitness News<\/b> approached the Hawks for comment they said they could not comment as the matter was still under investigation.<\/p>\n

SANTACO Western Cape’s Makhosandile Tumana said taxi operations in Bellville are back to normal.<\/p>\n

“The operations were not normal but eventually the bomb searchers came, and they checked everywhere there, and it seems that it was a hoax. So, our operations have resumed, and we apologise to the commuters, it was beyond our control,” said Tumana.<\/p>\n
