Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The City of Tshwane Emergency Services Department is urging residents to stay alert as forecast heavy downpours may lead to localised flooding and power outages.<\/p>\n

The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms.<\/p>\n

The storms will bring heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and possible lightning, which could lead to localised flooding, especially in low-lying areas and informal settlements.<\/p>\n

Drivers are advised to be extra cautious,i as the rain could result in poor visibility and slippery road conditions.<\/p>\n

Tshwane EMS spokesperson Lindsay Mnguni urged residents to stay informed with the latest weather updates and follow all safety recommendations.<\/p>\n

“Residents are encouraged to monitor the warnings and alerts issued by the South African Weather Service and other credible sources, and to immediately follow the recommended safety tips,” said Mnguni.<\/p>\n
