Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is calling on pupils not to disrupt schooling while matrics prepare for exams.<\/p>\n

The call comes after major disruptions occurred at Vista High School in Bo-Kaap on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

The department detailed that pupils damaged a newly installed fence in the frenzy.<\/p>\n

The department\u2019s Bronagh Hammond said that communication had been sent to parents regarding pupil behaviour.<\/p>\n

“Their actions caused unnecessary disruption to teaching and learning at a time when Grade 12 learners are also writing their trial examinations ahead of their National Senior Certificate examinations, which are to be held next month.”<\/p>\n
