Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Messages between controversial figure, Brown Mogotsi, and KZN police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi have been included as part of evidence submitted to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.<\/p>\n

Last week Mkhwanazi testified before the commission, sitting at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria.<\/p>\n

Mkhwanazi delivered evidence by way of a prepared statement, referencing hundreds of pages of annexures.<\/p>\n

His annexure bundle amounts to 604 pages – comprised of presentations, letters, affidavits, meetings of minutes and email threads.<\/p>\n

Screenshots of messages between Mkhwanazi and Mogotsi – accused of meddling in high-profile police investigations, with alleged has links to underworld figure and tenderpreneur, Vusimuzi \u201cCat\u201d Matlala as well as police minister Senzo Mchunu – form part of Mkhwanazi\u2019s dossier.<\/p>\n

However, evidence related to what was found on Matlala\u2019s phone – confiscated by police during a raid at his home in December – is not included in the dossier.<\/p>\n

Mkhwanazi alleged that evidence found on Matlala\u2019s phone linked him to Mogotsi, Mchunu and suspended deputy national police commissioner for crime detection, Shadrack Sibiya.<\/p>\n
