The cartel, which he claims is based in Gauteng, is allegedly involved in various sectors of organised crime, including drug trafficking, hijackings, tender fraud, and contract killings.<\/p>\n

Khumalo places Katiso \u201cKT\u201d Molefe and Vusimuzi \u201cCat\u201d Matlala at the lower end of the Big Five criminal network, suggesting that far more dangerous underworld figures are part of the syndicate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Big Five has already penetrated the political sphere. There are documented cases of high-profile connections in politics, with senior politicians alleged to be complicit or willfully blind to the syndicate\u2019s operations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
