Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The African National Congress (ANC) has now confirmed that controversial North West businessman, Brown Mogotsi, is no longer a member of the party.<\/p>\n

The party said that Mogotsi\u2019s membership had lapsed.<\/p>\n

Mogotsi has been making headlines following allegations that he acts as a middleman between the underworld and Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.<\/p>\n

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry heard this week that Mogotsi was involved in funding the minister and some ANC programmes.<\/p>\n

In September, EWN revealed the criminal history of Mogotsi, who stands accused of interfering in police investigations.<\/p>\n

Mogotsi has multiple cases registered against him, including assault, theft, and fraud, dating back as far as 1997.<\/p>\n

At the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, WhatsApp messages were presented suggesting that Mogotsi facilitated favours for alleged crime boss, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, through an individual believed to be Mchunu.<\/p>\n

Mchunu initially claimed he did not know Mogotsi, but later admitted the businessman was an ANC comrade.<\/p>\n

The ANC, however, distances itself from Mogotsi and has confirmed that his membership had expired.<\/p>\n
