Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The National Freedom Party (NFP) has directed KwaZulu-Natal\u2019s Social Development MEC Mbali Shinga to support the pending motion of no confidence against Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli.<\/p>\n

The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has notified the legislature that it will table a motion against Ntuli at the next sitting, citing financial mismanagement under his leadership.<\/p>\n

The NFP said it’s in full support of the bid, echoing the MK\u2019s sentiment.<\/p>\n

The NFP, which is also the kingmaker of the coalition-led provincial government, has written to its KZN provincial executive committee to support the motion to remove Ntuli as premier.<\/p>\n

In a letter seen by EWN, the party says it’s resolved that its only member in the legislature, Mbali Shinga, must vote in favour of the motion.<\/p>\n

The party said that while it was part of the provincial government with the IFP, ANC, and the DA, it no longer had confidence in Ntuli.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Speaker Nontembeko Boyce is expected to announce whether the motion will go ahead as desired by the MK Party.<\/p>\n
