Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy President Paul Mashatile has urged investors to remain confident in South Africa\u2019s government, pledging a collaborative and supportive working relationship.<\/p>\n

Mashatile was speaking at the Gauteng Investment Conference in Sandton on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The event brought together representatives from local, provincial and national government, as well as global investors and development finance institutions.<\/p>\n

His remarks came at a time when South Africans were under pressure from the rising cost of living, with recent fuel price hikes adding strain on motorists and businesses.<\/p>\n

Mashatile said the Gauteng provincial government was committed to creating a conducive environment for investment and growth in the country.<\/p>\n

“South Africa is open for business, and Gauteng is ready for execution. We are determined that Gauteng will lead by example in shortening regulatory timelines, and I am happy that I had both the premier and the MEC emphasising that,” he said.<\/p>\n
