General Fannie Masemola has been placed on precautionary suspension as he faces criminal charges in connection with an irregularly awarded multi-million rand Medicare24 tender.<\/p>\n

The president said that Thursday’s announcement is in response to Masemola\u2019s appearance in the Pretoria Magistrates this week.<\/p>\n
