Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The South African Council of Churches (SACC) has commemorated Freedom Day by signing an anti-corruption covenant.<\/p>\n

The council held a church service today at St George\u2019s Cathedral on Wale Street in Cape Town.<\/p>\n

It said it has taken a firm stance by declaring corruption a moral sin that will be condemned from all its pulpits.<\/p>\n

The SACC\u2019s General Secretary, Reverend Mzwandile Molo, said that members of all affiliated churches are encouraged to resist and expose corruption.<\/p>\n

He said that the covenant represents the council\u2019s commitment to playing its part in the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n
