Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The 2nd edition of Women South Sudan Cup 2022 yesterday crowned Yei Joint Stars FC as the Champions for 2022. Yei Joint Stars FC thrashed Nile City FC of Yambio by 6:0. Kuku FC from Torit became third in position and was awarded model for defeating AL Hilal FC of Wau.
Speaking to Juba Monitor after the final match, Teresa Nawal, Maurine Makaunga Amos the Captain, and Yei Joint Stars Coach Adong Christine Alex showed their happiness and joy for thrashing the Nile City FC.
SSFA awarded top scorer Debora Luka jersey no. 10 who scored 14 goals in the tournament. Rahama Cosmos jersey no 11, took the golden boat as the best player of the tournament. 18 teams participated in the tournament. Both coaches for bright starlets and bright stars were attending the match.
Governor Emanuel Adil awarded 16 girls’ scholarships and 1500 USD for the two teams who came to finals. The Commissioner of Yei County has allotted land to Yei Girls Football Academy.
