Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Juba City Council Mayor, Michael Lado Allah-Jabu, has ordered immediate evacuation of vehicles from the entrance of Juba Teaching Hospital.
The city boss further directed all boda-boda and rakshas riders to relocate from the hospital exits with immediate effect.
“They need to leave the place and relocate to the new side of Juba Teaching Hospital exit immediately.” Failure to follow the orders will result in serious punishments as it is stipulated by the local government act 2009 and Juba City Council bylaws 2015, “the Mayor directed.
He ordered the law-enforcement agencies to enforce the directives immediately.
The mayor also banned the sale of vehicles on public roads and in unapproved locations within the city.
“From today onward, we will not allow any vehicles to be sold everywhere in the city or along the roads.
“If we find anyone disobeying this order, drastic measures will be taken against such individuals with financial fines or imprisonment not exceeding one month,” warned jabu.
The city has since set aside land next to Juba Hospital for vehicle dealers to transact their businesses.
