Africa-Press – South-Sudan. A high court in the Ugandan capital Kampala has dismissed a case in which South Sudanese students sought graduation from the main campus in Ugandan after completing studies from unregistered branch of the university in South Sudan.
In the verdict pronounced on Wednesday, Justice Boniface Wamala of the Uganda High Court said the complainants have no enough evidence to support their claim that there are grounds for judicial review in the case.
In an email to the students, lawyer Steven Nelson who represented the South Sudanese nationals said he was informed of the court decision via email.
“Dear Students, I thought that we would get the Ruling on notice. However, I have just received it via my email. We lost on facts, which I strongly believe to be misconceived,” he said in the email.
“You had and still have a good case, only manipulated. You performed extremely well on the law,” Nelson added.
