Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Jonglei State-based civil society activist Bol Deng Bol has called on the governors and three chief administrators to uilitise the governors’ forum and deliver to the people.

Bol, who is the chairperson of the Jonglei Civil Society Network, appealed to the governors and the national government to work on the implementation of the laws that will improve security and service delivery.

“Having learned from the culture of law implementation across the country, I recommend the 6th Governors Forum to put in place an implementation matrix that stipulates responsibilities,” Bol said.

“Institute responsibility and timetable for national and state responsibilities.”This will help in keeping track of the resolutions,” he added.

He said the coming of the governors and three chief administrators should help curb the ongoing intercommunal violence across the country.

“I expect the forum to embolden efforts against the endless inter and intra-communal violence across the country. “These efforts include expanding community dialogue and increasing the presence of security forces across counties and states, or administrative areas,” Bol said.

The activist wants the forum to enhance service delivery in counties and empower traditional authorities across the country.

“Initiate infrastructure development projects, especially for road connectivity and health care facilities in the rural areas,” Bol said.

The Governors’ Forum is an annual meeting that brings together all state and administrative area chiefs every year.
