Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a republic decree re-appointing Dr. Chol Deng Abel as the managing director of the Nile Petroleum Corporation, a year after he was fired.
The republican decree was read out on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) and it comes almost a week after President Kiir sacked Eng. Bol Ring Muorwel from the position.
Also known as Nilepet, the government institution is responsible for managing the country’s petroleum revenue.
