Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Malakia FC moved second on the log of the Juba Local Football Association (JLFA) League after action resumed following a lengthy break.

Malakia came from behind to beat a wasteful Al Hilal FC 2-1 in a tight match staged at the

Coach Bilal Felix’s side took the lead in the 15th minute. Hilal, however, equalled things up with a 32nd goal from the spot that was coolly slotted in by Sabri Mutwakil from 12 yards away.

A determined Malakia, however, were hit by a strategy when Jose Maria Lubega was se​​nt to an early shower for a punishable offence.

But despite enjoying numerical advantage, Hilal failed to utilize the opportunity – allowing a 10-man Malakia to come back in the game with a late match-winner.

Al Hilal continued to exert significant pressure in the second half, but they were kept at bay by a hawk-eyed goalkeeper – shot-stopper who parried most of their attempts.

Substitute, Emmanuel Kaka needs just five minutes on the field to give Malakia FC the crucial three points with a 77th-minute brilliant goal.

Malakia is now in second position with 27 points, one point behind table-toppers Kator, both of whom have played 12 games.

Elsewhere, the struggling defending champion Munuki FC will entertain VIVA Star FC later Wednesday evening at Buluk Playground.

Munuki FC have so far managed to collect just 12 points from 11 games, a performance that leaves them 10th on the log.

VIVA Star on the other hand are eight with 14 points while Al Hilal remained in 12th position with only eight points, just a place above the relegation zone.
