Africa-Press – South-Sudan. El Mereikh FC Bentiu have advanced to the second round of the South Sudan Cup after eliminating Young Stars of Torit on 2:3 aggregates.
The second leg of the match at Buluk Playground ended 0:0 on Sunday, but El-Merreikh FC Bentiu have qualified to the second round after beating Young Stars FC Torit 3-2 in the first leg.
Twenty one teams are currently competing in three groups for the South Sudan 11th Edition.
In Group A of Rumbek, nine teams are fighting for one semi-final stage, whereas in Juba, nine teams are eyeing a single semi-final spot.
From Group C in Malakal, Nujum Al Suma have already booked their place in the semi-finals after beating Tarir Meluth FC on Sunday.
The winner of the South Sudan 11th Edition Cup will represent South Sudan in the Africa Confederation Cup later this year.
