Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Yellow Stars advanced to the South Sudan Independence Cup semi-finals despite suffering a severe defeat against the Freedom Men.

The second-placed Yellow Stars may have entered the game knowing they had already qualified after two straight wins at the expense of Tongak and Advocates—both ousted from the competition.

Freedom Men never took it for granted, knowing that any defeat would bring them agony, and they never wanted to be second best.

The Yellow Stars trailed 8-0 before scoring twice in the final ten minutes.

Yahannes Pualino Ssisy’s hat trick gave Freedom its ninth goal of the game in the 90th minute. Freedom won Group A with 7 points, Yellow Stars came in second, and Advocates and Tongak came in third and fourth, respectively.

It was one of the big victories of the tournament, the South Sudan Independence Cup Futsal Championship.

Elsewhere, Group B will be in action on Tuesday at Equatoria Sports Centre, with the first game starting as early as 6 p.m.
