Africa-Press – South-Sudan. President Kiir has relieved the Undersecretary in the Ministry of East African Affairs, Andrea Aguer Ariik Malueth, and appointed Beny Gideon, Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission who was relieved in a similar manner as his replacement.
In a presidential decree read on the state-run TV, SSBC on Wednesday evening, Kiir appointed Beny Gideon as the Undersecretary in the Ministry of East African Affairs.
Kiir has not named the replacement for ex- Deputy Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission.
Andrea Aguer Ariik Malueth was appointed by the EAC on May 31st, 2023 as the region’s Deputy Secretary General for Infrastructure, Productive, Social, and Political sectors.
He replaced Christophe Bazivamo from Rwanda whose six-year term came to an end.
