Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The National Communication Authority has urged law enforcement agencies and the authorities in various states and administrative areas to protect telecommunications installations against vandalism in South Sudan.

The Director General of the National Communication Authority, Napoleon Adok Gai made the remarks during a meeting with the telecommunication operators in Juba on Thursday.

Adok Gai disclosed that sites have been vandalized and Batteries, Solar systems, and Fuel have been taken away.

He further said that some Land Lords are taking the law into their hands by shutting down the sites due to their personal grievances.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms for the development and operation of the network sites constructed by the Universal Service and Access Fund.
