Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Leaders of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area on Monday handed the certificate of full support to President Kiir ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The Greater Pibor Administrative Area endorsement came months after Barh el Ghazal region nominated President Kiir as the SPLM candidate for the 2024 elections.
GPAA leaders led by the Area Chief Administrator Lokoli Ame Bullen officially handed the certificate to the President, announcing that the Area will deliver its votes to President Kiir during the elections.
Chief Lokoli said the people of GPAA appreciate the President for his consistent support of the welfare of the area.
He further stated that the security in the area is calm and that people are going about their activities in peace.
Central Equatoria and Upper Nile regions are currently gearing up for President Kiir nomination as the only candidate for the SPLM party in the 2024 elections.
