Africa-Press – South-Sudan. A South Sudanese government delegation led by Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster, Taban Deng Gai, has flown to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss investment prospects.

According to VP Taban’s office, the team will discuss several investment industries including oil and gas, agriculture, mining, and infrastructure development.

“The delegation will meet the government of the United Arab Emirates to discuss investment opportunities in the Republic of South Sudan ranging from agriculture, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure developments,” the statement from VP Taban’s office stated.

It highlights that South Sudan and the UAE have long-standing diplomatic ties.

Taban is accompanied by Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, the presidential envoy for special programs; Dr. Bak, Minister of Finance and Planning; Simon Mijok Mijak, Minister of Roads and Bridges; Dr. James Alich Garang, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of South Sudan; and Dr.Christopher Patia Kujo, undersecretary of mining
