Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The National Transitional Committee has announced a 36 million pound donation to female unified combatants, artists and journalists who attended the deployment ceremony of the Unified forces on Wednesday.

The head of NTC, Tut Gatluak has announced that 20 million pounds will be channelled to female combatants to cater for their needs as they travel with their male counterparts to Malakal in Upper Nile State.

The Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs also donated 10 million pounds to the organizers of the deployment event and three million each to artists and journalists.

Speaking at Luri Training Center, Gatluak congratulated the forces on the occasion of their long-awaited graduation and donated bulls to the military battalion bound for Upper Nile State.

“I have donated SSP 20 million to the female soldiers for them to buy their things and handle their problems as they travel with you [men],” he said.

“We are also giving the artists SSP 3 million. For other people behind the preparatory committee, we are giving them SSP10 million and SSP 3 million to the journalists, and peace upon you.”
