Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The governor of South Sudan’s Lakes State, Lt. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor has sacked the Rumbek municipality mayor, Peter Maliap Chieny, replacing him with Akol Manyang Magom.
Rin, in a decree read on the state-owned Radio Rumbek FM 98 on Thursday, also removed the state Health Ministry Director General, Dr. Hakim Makuer, appointing Dr. Maker Malok Machuny as his successor.
The decree did not mention why the two officials were sacked.
