Greater Pibor administrator dissolves government

Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Chief Administrator of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA), Peter Guzulu Maze, has dissolved nearly the entire government he inherited from his predecessor.

The order, which took effect last Thursday, marks a significant shake-up in the administrative area’s leadership.

Peter Ajany Kaimoi, the GPAA Local Government Minister, confirmed the move to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday. He stated that only officials appointed alongside the new chief administrator when he assumed office earlier this year were spared from the dissolution.

Mr. Kaimoi added that consultations are underway, and the process of forming a new government is expected to begin on Monday.

“Our chief administrator is conducting consultations. Starting Monday, he may begin forming his government anew,” he said.
